03 motor w/23k miles autocheck certified.
06 trans w/23k miles.

As I was typing this I just realized that both parts had 23k miles. Its like it was meant to be!

Holy crap! You found the newest of AP1 motors! with only 23k!

Then, to top it off you snagged an AP2 transmission with better gearing and carbon synchros!

I am so jealous! but excited for you at the same time! Nice finds man. That thing is gonna rocket off the line with your final drive + AP2 tranny. What is your top speed in 1st gear currently?

Back on topic, I want a hard top too!! I want to rip out my soft top and frame so badly! Maybe ill just waterproof the interior

 

Thanks for all the pos comments guys! It almost seems too good to be true, I half expect there to be something wrong with the motor.

I did a delivery the other day and there was a 00-01 BB w/HT parked next door. I soooo badly wanted to go and knock on the door and offer to buy his HT. It looked like it needed a little love and that the owners didn't really drive it much because it had OE S02's on the front!

I saw a guy was selling his yellow (boosted) ap1 on craigslist, has an oem hardtop. I e-mailed him for you and asked if he'd part the top out, I'll let you know if he gets back to me. If you find the ad, it's probably worth trying to get ahold of him.
