I am looking to buy a Supercharger, but I cant drop 5K+ right now. I have seen used Vortech SC's selling for 1500!! Should I be sceptic of these? Does anyone know someone selling one for maybe around 2k? I just sold my old car and im looking to put about 2k in the S. I think that a SC would be the best investment. Any ideas?

for 2k you wont get much with the supercharger, you will end up spending more then just that plus the research on the parts needed.

 

I would say hold out on the S/C for now. Why don't you wait until we go to our next track event take the car out stock and see just how much you really have I think you'll be surprised. If you want small upgrades to hold you over a exhaust or headers would compliment the S/C whenever you doo decide to purchase.

 

i loved the fact that i waited since i was able to feel the difference my mods helped little by little, though supercharger is great

I believe I'm going to try and go every 3 months if work and finances allow. Right now I'm shooting for February. I don't believe Rick at the drivers edge has released the track schedule for the '07 season. I'll keep everyone updated but if you want to just check out The Drivers Edge

 

awesome any mods planned before then?

 

No just a higher temp brake fluid and mabe some diffrent pads. I'll wait until I move up a couple of groups before I mod.

 

does it depend on your mods what class you are in or is it based on times of participation of driving?
