I've only floated the Buffalo once, but it was one of the best times I've had. There were 7 of us and the river was up after some pretty heavy rains, so we wound up renting a raft. If you want electricity and bathrooms, Buffalo Point is a good one man. We were "car camping" so it worked out well having electricity at each location, along with bathrooms within walking distance. From what I understand there are plenty of excellent campsites along the river in awesome areas but with fewer amenities. If you plan on floating and camping along the river bank I think It's pretty well "camp where you wish" but I'm not certain of that.

Fadi, I will check with Vic for you, but off-my-head I can tell you that with the current dry & very hot weather, the the river level is
too low to float the upper Buffalo River at this time. The best time of the year to float the Buffalo River is late April through early June. Yesterday, the temps got up to 101 deg. F at my top-of-the mountain location. It would have been hotter on the river. Any stretch
of the Buffalo River above the confluence with the Little Buffalo River at this time would require excessive portage (draging or lifting) the canoe, kayak, or rubber raft down the shallow stretches. Lower down the river, there may be enough water flow to allow transit. I have a call in for Vic, and will let you know what he says.

Fadi, Vic called me back and said the upper and middle Buffalo River sections do not have enough water to
float. He did not know about the lower Buffalo River and suggests that you call Wild Bill's Canoe Rentals or another
canoe rental place called Durst (spelling?). They probably have websites too.
