congrats on the anniversary!

if there's one thing i learned -- TD knows restaurants just about anywhere you go... aside from my overriding need for beef Friday night, he always had great places in mind!

and wow -- i forgot there was that much room back there in the trunk.

also -- 30 MPG?? wow, i must be doing something wrong. i think the best we did was like 26 mpg. but there was a lot of top down time when we could, as well as more than a bit of time at 90+ mph.

Steve,
Camera works fine. using tape to keep battery door closed. a new door costs almost as much as the camera did. besides it was my fault that I left it hidden in the car.

Brian,
the fountain is in Savannah.

Phil,
yes 30 mpg. long highway distances were with top up and averaging less than 90 mph but there were a couple of tanks of top down averaging 65 mph

Congrats on making the 7 years -- and stuffing the boot that full. Looks and sounds like y'all had a great trip.

Our 20th is coming up in a couple of months and I'm trying to find a nice place to take my wife that's not where she goes all the time. It's not easy to do.

Number 20 is pretty important. Try Montreal, we go there for our anniversary (the week before Wake the Dragon) and it's a fantastic city!

If you want more info (including restaurants ) just PM me

Doc, you've got a point. Home is the one place she never gets to spend any time. If we did that we'd spend most of every day with her horse and the rest of the day doing yard and house work. She's a master at finding new things to do with the house or yard. Add to that it would be another year that I wouldn't get a vacation from the house and critters.

F1DNA, Montreal is a place we'd like to visit so I'm going to have think about that one and I may have some questions. While we've spent time in most of the larger US cities we really don't like to go to cities when we can avoid them. We generally spend our vacation time in National Parks or scenic and wildlife filled areas with low populations. We've spent a lot of time in the rural areas on MT., WY., CO., OR., CA., UT., AZ., ID., etc. Hmm, Newfoundland might not be a bad choice.

We could save money if we stayed in an area with Marriott properties since we can use points and stay free. Problem is they're not in rural areas...

CG I just had someone show me some pictures of a cruise to Alaska. I had no idea that it was basically a animal/nature lovers paradise!

I think you can only go during certain times of the year. Something about it being dark 20 hours a day
