Default Change of plans..

OK, for those of you who dont know what my plans WERE for the my S2000 i will fill you in briefly..custom Precision 6262 turbo build making 700whp on 93, bout 800 on e85...now...I have always been a drifting nut, I have done some amateur drifting myself over the past few years...so, that being said, this past week i have chocked up many hours over the last week thinking about the future my my S and possibly a future for myself..

I have decided to scrap my those plans for a 700whp++ monster, and make a more subtle goal for myself with about 480whp on a GT30 and work towards my goal as a drifter..i know how to drift but there is a world of improvement ahead of me..

thoughts..?

Get an s13, the s2k will poop it's rearend.. The aem car isn't as competiveas others because it's an s2k our wheel base and mid front lay out is very anti drifting, suchia(sp) hates drifting our car there are others available for
way less and you don't wanna damage the s2k

I agree with what everyone says except I would say the diff wouldn't be your weak point. Your not launching the car which is what kills the diff. Plus you would weld it and make a solid rear end if your going to drift anyways. If your wanting to be different I would say go for it. I think 480 is more power then needed to drift. I would say your concern should be torque number that way your able to feather the throttle to control yourself in the corner. That's why the s13 is so popular with the SR in it. The SR makes factory 220 whp AND 220 torque which is what is going to kick the ass end around. I think it would be awesome man if you did something like this. After all people argued the S wasn't a straight line shooter people like jeff proved it could be otherwise. This is that same situation. Good luck sir

im not worried about the rear end because thats going to get swapped out anyway..i can moderate the Gt30 boost pretty much anytime so its the perfect size for drifting.. i have no problems with taking my S sideways..i have done it plenty of times, i just dont have money immediate for all the tires

I agree about a 240 being a cheap and viable platform. You may can drift an S, but when you throw it into a wall, can you buy another?
