a while back i had to take my sony vaio in to best buy cause the motherboard crashed on it well i got this thing in the mail saying my warranty was almost up but i could renew it my the 13th but i forgot to do it well last night it crashed again. im sooooooooo pissed off i guess when i get back from orlando im just going to buy a cheap laptop

how did it crash? or should i say what does it do?

 

i was putting a cd on my ipod and it locked up so i had to unplug it then restarted it and when i opened itunes it locked again, then i restarted it and it locked up on the windows xp screen, then i restarted it again and the fans just spin really fast and i get a black screen. its the same thing that it did the first time it crashed a few months back

 

could just be the OS. does the bios come up on screen? i mean i know apples hates microsoft but that could be a little to much violence

Hmm. But you can tell the lcd has power to it? The laptop posts( as in beeps) or absolutely nothing at all?

 

if your bios screen is black AND you dont here a beep when it trys and boots up more than likely its you mobo.

 

yeah i know its the motherboard cause its doing the same thing it did the first time it crashed and bestbuy had to send my board off to be repaired
