Default Custom Paint Shop - Tyler, TX Area

In the continuing saga of building a pink S2000 for my middle Daughter, I am soliciting recommendations for a custom auto paint shop in the Tyler/Longview Area. I'm looking for a shop that will take a perfectly good S2000 and repaint it PINK and airblush a "naughty fairy" on the hood and front fenders; yes like the Fast and Furious movie car. What can I say.... she's a girl!

I have a line on a couple of potential victims (cars). They're both MY 2001-03 silver/blacks with reasonable mileage. No significant body issues at all. Just want a high-end, custom paint job.

Anyone use AutoWorks Custom Paint & Body off of Hwy 155S?

You're serious aren't you? I would give her a Suzuka blue one and be done with it. Also consider the resale value. And most importantly, do you want to draw that much attention to your daughter when she is driving?

Yeah I agree with globallyoff. Do you really wanna draw that much attention to your daughter? I'm 21 and I consider myself a gentleman but I'm gonna tell you now that there's a lot of people out here my age that are not like me. I think that would draw too much attention from the (excuse my lang.) douchebag guys and jealous girls. But if you trust her and she really wants it then do it. Just my 2 cents. Whatever makes your daughter happy. Oh and show her other S2ks that she might like the paint scheme on because the young crowd here despises rice and might give her a hard time. Just trying to give you a young persons point of view.

I appreciate the comments and I will bounce them off of her... one more time. However, I think this Daughter, of the 3, can best handle a pink S2K if anyone can. She is a straight-A student in the International Baccalaureate (IB) program at her high school. She is also a featured colorguard member of the L. D. Bell Marching Band that won the 2007 Grand National Championship in Indianapolis, IN, last November, and is a nationally ranked senior women's sabre fencer. What I save in advanced placement in college (the IB program should yield her 30+ hours of college credit) and/or academic/atheltic scholarships will dwarf my outlay in car costs. The fencing coach at Notre Dame is interested in her... have you checked the tuition at Notre Dame!!!

Our deal is that she learn to drive a performance car by participating in the North Texas S2K Owners Club Auto-X season and attend at least 2 Driver's Edge schools and get promoted to the Blue level. That and get her concealed handgun license , since she can't always carry her sword.

She sounds like an extraordinary daughter Al. I still wouldn't want to draw that much attention to my daughter. The gun permit might help with life and death situations, but won't keep the haters from trashing her car. I recently bought a 2008 Scion XB for my wife that will be going to my own daughter in a couple of years. Just food for thought.

I actually agree, but I gave her some lofty goals and dangled a "reasonable car of her choice" out in front of her as her reward. I'm actually getting off light.

On topic - Congrats on raising a wonderful daughter. All of her accomplishments sound amazing, but I'm most impressed by the colorgaurd achievement. My HS marching band colorgaurd SUCKED. I was embarassed to be on the field with them generally. IMO there's nothing wrong with a pink car. My friend painted his prelude pink, and he's a guy. I think if it's done well, it will look good.
Off-topic - It seems people are hating on suzuka blue. Why?
