MW2 is a great game man, but I spent soooo much time on MW1, and MW2, that I really got burnt out on it. My favorite thing about MW2 was Spec Ops, and if they would come up with a Spec Ops add on pack, then I would be all over it again!
I wouldn't have traded my copy towards Red Dead, if my son didn't have a copy of MW2 also. I can always snatch his if the S.O. thing ever happens. I do love competitive games, but I enjoy the cooperative aspect of games MUCH more!
IMO, cooperative game play is def the way of the future in gaming. I think the typical "death match" game will always have it's place, but being able to jump online w/ a buddy, and take on the biggest and baddest "boss" is where it's at as far as I'm concerned.
Don't get me wrong, my love for "vs. mode" started w/ Street Fighter II on the SNES, and weaved it's way into Golden Eye for the Game Cube. That is something that will always be a huge aspect of online gaming for me.
So, to make a long story f'n longer, my love affair for games started long ago w/ my Atari 2600, and I even had something else before that, that was more or less a Pong type system (who knows what it was called). If I'm not mistaken, it even had a revolver looking gun that came along with it (way before Duck Hunt was in the picture).
Yes, I'm a 32 year old fart.
I know I was kinda all over the place with this post, but these rants are what you get out of ol' Mason when whiskey, and beer have been in the mix. Take care fellas!
