Just out of curiosity, how many of you guys have smartphones? about 98%?
well, there's an app for the iPhone i've been using called GroupMe and it uses Facebook/an email address/and your phone to connect everyone. i use it for my fantasy football leagues to communicate with everyone (since everyone isn't able to get to their computers, but everyone always has their celly on them).
check it out, if a good number of people are interested, i'll set it up. then we can use this as another platform to communicate. people won't feel left out because of quick meets, texting everyone won't be necessary (since would be connected to GroupMe), we all can shoot the sh1t, and just overall better communication.

This is like "Whats App" I have installed, looks similar and used it a few times. Serves it purpose well I think.
I'm in for using it, even though I haven't made it to a single meet yet. Just busy and timing restraints keeping me from doing that lately. Hope to make them in the future.
