Default Hurricane Ivan

I just wanted to wish you guys the best of luck with Ivan. Having lived there for 4 years when I was at Tulane, I know how easy it can flood. Stay safe.

Thanks for the well wishes.
At times like these I look to the wisdom of Sir Robin......

Well I left my sprinklers on and forgot to turn off my ceiling fan outside. I think I am responsible for all the damage here in Ponchatoula

Seriously... glad things were light. I sit on the crossroads of I-55 and I-12. There were people EVERYWHERE. It seems we were the stop for people to get gas/eat for everyone evacuating. It was scary. People were agitated from being in traffic all day and it showed around here. Tough... Tough... Tough time... it was very stressfull to be on any of the roads here. You could feel the tensions.

I just hope everyone gets back safely.

How did our friends in the Pensacola area fare? You guys OK?

Most of you guys know where I live and the eastern side of the eye passed directly over our house just north of Gulf Shores / Orange Beach. We have not been able to reach anyone who did not evacuate so we don't know how our home fared. While I feel sure we will have damage I doubt if it's nearly as bad as the damage at Kwongs place on Ono.

no word yet. rumors are abundant.

i.e 1) the bridge to ono island is out. all traffic to the island is by boat.
2) Ivan was a further example of Bush's poor leadership (per kerry)
3) Diet Dr. Pepper takes like the real thing....

I told the good Doctor I would e-mail him pictures. Instead I've posted some in this thread: https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.ph...f=118&t=236831

the ono house appears to have escaped extreme damage also.

we lost a couple of windows and almost all of the roofing shingles. The boats are still under the house. We still don't know the extent of the interior damage. Will find out this weekend and hopefully have some pics.

Glad things were relatively decent. With all the windows in your place I wouldn't expect much less than to lose a few.

DAMN that Kerry!
