Well, I am going to jump ship in about 12 months for something other then the S2000. Take a look at what I have ordered....I am number uno on the waiting list!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Chip, that is so cool. My wife has been sick of me talking about the Elise for years. I want one! IMO, it is the best sportcar available today for less than $100K.

Ya gotta at least let me ride with you on a fun run when you get it.

Sounds good to me.

I am excited about it. I almost went to Amsterdam over Mardi Gras to take a test drive, but I rode a parade float instead.

I hope this car turns out to be what I think it is!!

Here is some more info:

The lotus Elise 111S weighs 1665 dry pounds. About size of a Miata. 17" wheels back. 16" wheels front. 160HP. 0-60 in 5.0 ish seconds. Rear wheel drive. Rear engine (or mid I forgot). Seats are as comfortable/light as Mason's race seat. 5 speed. Top maybe around 130ish mph . $38 - $45k . making 2400 in the US. Released August 2004 in the US.

1.8 liter 4 cyl. Oh.. and a z06 killer!!! J

awesome, I've actually seen one here in BR a while ago. I saw it twice, once at the Citiplace movie theater, and once on perkins road. It was blue. Guy must have had it imported.

Congradulations, but what dealer are you buying it from?

I am getting it out of a dealer in Dallas.

These things aren't street legal yet...so he must have switched the plates or something.
