Default i have a headlight out

hey whats up guys? I noticed last night that my drivers side headlight is out, and wont turn back on. Im going to call the dealer today and see what they think, but from what ive read, its going to be expensive.

does anybody have any advice on where to take it that wont charge me an arm and a leg?

thanks

If your hi beams and your turn signals work, then just buy an HID bulb and put it in yourself. If not, you prob need a ballast. Those can be found online or the marketplace here on s2ki. Lots of peeps part out their car when it gets wrecked.

HID bulb probably less expensive than the ballast. Hopefully that is all it is. For an 8 year old car, not bad
just incase it is the ballast.

Thanks for the advice guys. I've got a bulb ordered at the dealer. I figure Im already payin $150 for the bulb, might as well pay another 50 for them to put it in. Ugh. Thus ruined my day. I just can't get over the fact that the bulb is so much.

Turns out it wasn't just the bulb. Dealer says ballast is bad too. Wants another $700 for that ontop of the $220 I paid them today. Ugh.

the bulbs alone were nearly $450!!!
