Oh wow, I forgot all about Primus. They used to be my idol way back when I used to play bass.

Great thread Mason!
My musical tastes varies greatly. Typically I stay in the Rock and an Vocal Trance catagories, but I go all over the board with whom I am fans of. I will post some of may favs too. Jimmy posted two of mine: Alterbridge, Blackbird, killswitch Engage. I also like some soulful Luther Vandross and certain R&B artists, a few country . Some old school Rap: 2Pac, Notorious BIG, Bone Thugs in Harmony, 3 6 Mafia... to name a few.

My DJ's Trance/Vocal Trance/Progressive: Armin van Buuren, Tiesto, Deadmau5, DJ Dan, Kascade, ATB, Above and Beyond, Filo and Peri....

So yeah thats a brief overview for me

Munny: I've recently been introduced to Dubstep, interesting stuff.

I love Primus!! Ol' Les Claypool is one bad mutha! I played a good bit of guitar growing up, and my brother played bass. One of the most memorable concerts he and I attended was a Bella Flek and the Flektones show in Fort Worth. Victor Wooten is phenomenal in concert, and on disc!

To me, much of the music being played on the radio (and otherwise) today has lost it's originality. So many artist tend to sound the same. Although it's a far cry from the style of music that dominates my ears today, Blind Melon has always played an enormous role in my musical taste. I still believe they have a sound unique to music - past and present.

This is one of my Blind Melon favorites. RIP Shannon Hoon.
