ok we have a route planed...how does Lake of the Pines sound its a 45min drive from shreveport and the same from longview..it should be a good hour and 15min drive around the lake very twisty roads! now comes the hard part the date.......2/28 or 2/29 sits well with me and Hal(viper guy).... anyone interested?

Hi Guys and Gals!
The 28th or 29th sounds good to me. How about setting the 28th with the 29th as an alternative date in case of bad weather?
I propose that we make the drive from Longview to Lake O' the Pines. I will send a map to Chad along with meet time, etc. Its a nice run with some good spots to take a few pictures.
I would recommend that we start the drive around 10:00 am and end up in Jefferson, Texas for a late lunch. Jefferson has some good places to eat and places to shop. Its a nice historic town on the Cypress River.
I will be making a run on the 14th with the Touch of Glass Corvette Club, Longview, Texas and the Shreveport Corvette Club. I am going to invite them to make our run on the 28th or 29th too.

I will have to ask for that date off. I usually work saturdays. Atleast I am getting a few weeks notice this time. Much unlike last time when I had recieved a phone call from some blond with a red S that ordered me to show up!

yup it would be that very one Hal.. you know the speed demon. I think she should change her name to match her driving style.

You right about the speed demon thing but have you ever noticed how she can smile her way right out of those speeding tickets? She has a huge advantage over the rest of us in that department!
