They have now put the February 2,3 date for MSR for 2008. Shouldn't be too much longer and our date will be posted.

We should be fine after February. I would say March/April is a good date b/c Spring weather means nice day - weather in the 60's and less chance of rain. Next year should be really fun. Since Eagle Canyon opened up in Nov. The track has some major elevation/drops. Unfortunately I heard it is really really hard on your brakes. A friend of mine with a M coupe(the shoe) cracked rotors and said his brake pads were toast after that wknd. He is an instructor though and drives like a maniac.

Btw, Don't believe everything I type. I am a track junkie and took my GT3 to MSR last wknd. It was 37 degrees and a bit misty on the track on sunday and I still ran 2 sessions before I packed up and left. I got tired of driving like a pansy - I was scared on getting a mud bath in the GT3.

 

I'll be ready to go by spring. I'd love to try Eagle Canyon sometime.

Rick said he is trying to coordinate the dates between the 3 tracks. He said most of the time the DE's are going to be in the 1st wk of the month. So if it is Early march - that should be a good time to go.

BTW, here is a link to Eagle's Canyon. For the track guys, notice the double apexes and the long straightaway at 1:10 followed by the tight uphill left and right. Bring a next set of brake pads guys!!
