Hi, I live in Fayetteville and would entertain the idea, schedule permitting. I know of 2 S 2000's within a mile of mile house that would probably join us. Let me know if you want to put together a run.

Just a heads up for the members in NW AR. The Miata Club of Arkansas is having their Miata in the Ozarks rally on May 16-19. I plan on checking it out on Friday the 17th, as they are planning a run from Eureka Springs down through Jasper and Hwy 123. I don't know if I'll be welcomed, but if they are anything like the S2K crowd, then it shouldn't be a problem. I'm plannng on getting to Eureka about 8:30 AM for the drive. Hopefully, some other NWA S2Ks will be there too.

Hmm, interesting. Their routes don't look anywhere near as fun as any BMT route but might be a good excuse to take the S out. I might be able to go Saturday or Sunday, which one depends on the weather. Let us know if they seem like a welcoming bunch when you go on Friday. Thanks for the heads up!

The Miata Group was very welcoming to me. Although not billed as a "spirited drive", there were times when it was just that. Mostly though a nice run through the hills of Eureka, Berryville, Jasper, Ponca, etc.
The drive from Fayetteville to Eureka was foggy yesterday, but it cleared up for the 9AM departure of the Jasper Run. We passed through Jasper once, then circled around via hwy123 and 7 back to Jasper for lunch at the Ozark Cafe. We arrive back in Eureka about 3 pm. A very accomodating group, and nice folks too. But again, it is not a "spirit drive". My wife would have enjoyed it immensely!
I think they are doing a Pig Trail drive today, but you'll have to check the website in the link above for all the information.

P.S. They do this event once every TWO years, unlike the BMT semi-annual schedule.
