Default OK...Who was it?

I was walking into chef lee's buffet (in shreveport) on Monday when I saw a grey s2k and a blue del sol come to the red light right out in front of chef lee's. I didnt think much of it, untill I hear both cars tear ass off the line. I was just wondering if the owner of the grey s2k post here. Anyway, whoever it is likes to bang off their rev-limiter

It was me. My name is Paul. Kiki refered me here. I work at Circuit City. The guy in the Del Sol is a buddy of mine. I had some crappy shifting goin' on that day - need a new clutch.

Haha, what all have you done to your car? It sounds great. Also, you car may be running a little rich. When you made your 1-2 upshift, a nice little puff of black smoke shot out the back. Nothing too bad, and definetly better than running lean.

Also, what had your buddy done to his del sol. He hung in there for awhile, but then you walked him. After you started to pull he pretty much have up.

Not much, just a couple of mufflers, SPEC 2 racing clutch, Comptech flywheel. My buddy has a AEM ram air intake and a DC sprot short shifter. Black smoke? Never noticed it before.

I really wouldnt worry about the smoke. It happens all the time with my evo. For me, and I am pretty sure you too, it just means that our cars are running a little rich with the air/fuel mixture. No biggie. If you were hearing some pinging when you go WOT then I would worry.

I am throwing some cams (hopefully) on the evo soon. When it gets tuned, I think they will lean out my A/F a little bit to get me some more horsepower, but still stay safe and away from the dreaded knock. If they can do that, my horsepower will go up as well as my MPG. We will see.

I backed off on mods for the S for a bit. Im waiting for enough funds for a supercharger. Waiting and saving is very hard.

I know what you mean. This modding stuff is getting to be like crack. I think I am going to stop at cams, tune, and full exhaust; at least I hope so. If not I am going to go broke.

Which supercharger are you going to go with? I know comptech makes one for the s2k, and I think a few other companys do to, but I dont know too much about the s2000 aftermarket.
