Default Paintball?

Sounds like we have a couple of 'shooters' in the group. Would anyone be interested in setting up a game? Also, would anyone know where the good fields are at? I used to play tournaments while in college and would love the chance to use some of my gear again.

none of that pussy indoor crap... There is great place called Southern Wildfire out where I live. Lots of woods and they have a great castle and fort. They even have an abandoned school bus. Pirces are reasonable.

I used to go all the time untill my military buddies got old and fat

woot! i'm in for sure. i agree - indoors sucks.

i know some guys who have just opened / about to open a field in the Holden area (west of Hammond). they run the local BR paintball store (MCM Paintball) and i've had a good relationship with them for years. i'm fairly sure they have a sup-air field, a good wooded field, and a castle field. i haven't been there since they took ownership, but the previous setup was good... they have put a lot of money into the field to improve it.

field fee is $5 for walkons, rentals are $20 w/ loadout and 200 balls. paint is $5/100 $35/half-case, and $65/case. (case = 2000 balls)

i love to play, but make no promises on my skill.

GW - what do you shoot?

nope... not scared.

i'm running a 2000 Free Flow Lockout Edition custom milled 'cocker (@250 psig) on N2 w/ 14" Dye boomsticks and a 12V X-board Revolution.

it's an old pic, but you'll get the idea...

of course, like i said before -- i love to play, but make no promises on my skill... gear doesn't make the player... it's probably been close to 9 months since i was playing regularly...

and Eddie -- pain is only a state of mind.

It only hurts when you get hit.

I just saw a flyer for thi splace in hammond. It is huge and is home of the Louisiana Rennaisance Festival. I guess they needed something to do when that isn't going on.

thanks GW, i like it...

S2K_LA - it hurts when you get hit?! OMG! i wish someone would have told me that... lol.
actually, i've found that half the time, i don't even notice when i'm hit... the adreneline gets pumping, and i won't even feel it...

and wow, is that page slow! i wonder if he's hosting it off his cable modem, DSL, or something... yikes! it does look to have some size to that field though. any clues on what their paint costs are? i've found that to usually be the 'critical' number for estimating my day long expenses...

also, i've been to Southern Wildfire, and outside of the huge trip to get there, it was a pretty nice field. haven't been there in a couple years though as the last time i was there, there was some nasty officiating that really turned me off...

if i have a chance in the coming days, i'll stop by the local store and query about their new field... i'll see if i can get a webpage for it or something. if nothing else, i know they'll welcome our group and will have a booster to get 4500 psig fills if needed.
