Default Plastic Soft Top

Well after we get done installing my Hondata Intake Manifold gasket which was about a 6 hour job! My friend thinks it's a good idea to lower the top when it's in the low forties outside. So my fellow smart people who took science what happens when you stress cold plastic (plastic when cold turns very brittle and hard) it breaks. Instead of going out and taking pics of my car I'll post up a picture of this lucky individual who had the same misfortune that became of me! The rip looks exactly the same it's even in the same exact spot!

Instead of rolling around in self pity, your fearlous leader swiftly made good of the situation and ordered a '00-'01 Robin's Auto Top which has a glass back window instead of plastic. It comes with all required hardware to modify your frame to use the glass. From what I've read online and in the s2ki community people have been very pleased with the upgrade pics are below

Robin's Top installed on the same car mentioned above

A couple of our Oklahoma guys have had that happen recently, and I'm aware of another one in St. Louis. 'Tis the season.

On Robin's Auto Top they have the install time as 11 Hours but I seriously doubt it will take that long. My friend will be helping me install it free of charge so hopefully with 2 good hands we can get it done in 6 hours.

Sometimes if it's not the dealership you bought the car from they are less likely to help you, especially outside of the warranty coverage. Not saying they wouldn't just stating.

Glad you got a handle on it though Ant. When you called and were like "you'll never guess what happened" I was expecting worse, glad it wasn't though.

Ive read many threads of this type. The Robbins are supposed to be good quality. If they say 11 hours to install, I figure its gonna take at least that if not longer unless you or your friend have done one before.
I might want to help or watch just to learn. Maybe we can have a tech day for your top.
