Plus One
Janet, That is priceless! Thanks for the +1 appreciation comments from both points of view.
I would only add that the +1 has to have a lot of trust in the driver's skills. I am not sure that I would make a good +1 unless my driver was a professional race drive. Even then, there would be a few moments wondering what I was doing as a passenger in that vehicle!
Thanks for coming to the Boston Mountain Tours.

Very nice Janet. Even though I'm usually a solo venture, I see all the key elements that your "+1" story sheds light on.
I was the one that made the "I was sorry to hear" comment to you at the first restroom stop, which you kind of looked at me like *what the hell are you talking about*
my thinking was *Oh shnike's have I approached the wrong person*
then we got on the right page though
However, I forgot to ask you, was the blue cooler (that I saw mention of in Travis' thread) with you ?
Even the +1's we've lost along the way, are still with us forever and today
was a pleasure to have met you, and even though I never met Travis, i'm sure he was having as much fun as you were

It was good to meet you, though I wish I had the chance to visit with you and some of the others a bit more. Hopefully our paths will cross again soon.
I have that "what the hell" look on my face a lot. Don't think anything about that.
Actually, it was very kind of you to say something. It did catch me off guard, though. It seems as though most people are somewhat uncomfortable in knowing what to say to me. And that's very understandable. And just to let others know......it is okay to talk about Trav (it's actually kind of nice for me).
No, that wasn't Trav's ice chest, the ice chest I had on this trip is identical but it has a red lid. I also have the same ice chest with an orange lid and a blue chest with a white lid. I'm leaning towards the red lid chest to have my ashes put in some day, but I've been using the orange lid one for over 25 years, so I'm still undecided.
I keep a couple of photos of Travis tucked in the slots of the radio cover. Other than that, I travel solo with his spirit in my heart.
I do have one question for you. Your Avatar photo.......what is that on your fridge?

You have the *what the hell* look, and I often have that *deer in the headlights* look

I was hoping that you were going to be at the BMT so I would have the chance to meet and say something to you, since I read the thread in the OK forum. I understand the uncomfortable feeling that most people would have, but I have dealt with loss enough times in my 27 years, to be able to understand and relate with it. So it was truly my pleasure to meet and share my condolences.
Quite an array of ice chests you have

You may say you travel solo, but even in spirit, he's still riding along with you

As far as my avatar goes, my E-persona is very random and can be totally off the wall... having said that, it's just a random pic I found somewhere on the net. Looks to be a cats ass on the fridge door
I'm an animal lover, so it's not meant to be anything mean... Just random

Janet, it was really great meeting and talking with you on the BMT. At lunch I gathered that you normally had/were a +1, but I had no idea of the details until finding the thread on the OK forum earlier today. I'm really sorry for your loss, but I am tremendously proud that you came on the BMT so soon. That speaks volumes of your character. I wish I could have known Travis, as he was obviously a great guy.
Also, I wish I had realized you were heading out after lunch and I would have hung out at the table a while longer. Hopefully we'll both make it to the fall BMT though.
