RAMBLINGS Thread .... Whats on your brain ?

This is meant to keep the clutter out of the specifics thread.
If you want to go off topic, do it here.

Run, Jump, Play the banjo while wearing womens underwear and cooking lego flavored noodle shots... It doesn't matter, this is IT.

Let your imagination run wild  :hello:

mr flannery77 04-17-2010 09:38 AM

^ Nice!!

Munnerlyn 04-17-2010 09:47 AM

We went with a set of competch headers for an NA2 since his is an NA2! The headers retail for 1500 and I got a steal on it for a small fraction of the msrp! We had a set of test pipes made to replace the cats also!

ans2k 04-17-2010 10:02 AM

Man I am reaching 60k miles and I'm hoping my diff blows out by then. :(

mr flannery77 04-17-2010 10:55 AM

Warranty coverage I'm guessing Alan?

mr flannery77 04-17-2010 10:55 AM

Oh yeah, my CEL is on yet again. :(

ans2k 04-17-2010 10:59 AM

Yes and damn that sucks. How's ur gas mileage?

ScottsS2k 04-17-2010 11:01 AM

So I'm driving, not even beating on the car. I get a call from munny he hears me driving from over 2 blocks away. Yay

Munnerlyn 04-17-2010 11:21 AM

Lol. I can tell that exhuast from a mile away! Haha. I'm in Nacogdoches this weekend! Where's everyone at?

Munnerlyn 04-17-2010 11:43 AM

I was thinking to myself is Nacogdoches considered to be in the Ark-La-Tex? Well according to wikipedia it is:

I don't know honestly. Next time I fill up, I'll check it.

ans2k 04-17-2010 01:01 PM

Not yet, it just came on yesterday evening. I'll either do it this evening or tomorrow.

ans2k 04-17-2010 01:23 PM

Car makng in weird noises? Unsual ticking?

ans2k 04-17-2010 01:29 PM

How's the oil level?

mr flannery77 04-17-2010 01:55 PM

This time it's P0139 (oxygen sensor). It's the first time the CEL has been on since I put my HFC back in the mix. The bad thing is that I also added the doubled up anti-fouler fix for it, I'm surprised it didn't work.

ans2k 04-17-2010 02:09 PM

Lol wow hum. Is that primary or secondary? And which hfc do u have?

ans2k 04-17-2010 02:16 PM

You know this thread is for random off topic subjects that is cluttering other threads. And the ironic part is, mason, you have a thread just for this topic. Lol

mr flannery77 04-17-2010 02:25 PM

Yes, that is quite true!

mr flannery77 04-17-2010 02:33 PM

You will be suprised Mason. This damn CEL is a bitch for us MY06+ owners with any type of cat delete. Mine comes and goes, and it's always the same catalyst code. I actually bought the Berk HFC to replace my testpipe to see if it would help... wrong lol.
My test pipe had two antifoulers in it too.... didn't help. I haven't even bothered with my HFC. As long as I know what the problem is I can deal with seeing the light.

ans2k 04-18-2010 11:46 AM

hum, i had two antifoulers on mine test pipe and one on the HFC and never had the light come on. if i just had one on my tp or zero on my hfc the yea it light up. i read some where someone put steel wool inside the antifoulers.

Ch0pper 04-18-2010 11:49 AM

You can BUT. Over time the steel wool will rust, so that is something to think about before trying that trick.

Kev!n 04-18-2010 12:03 PM

My light came on after i had my clutched changed out. idk why :(

In process of getting a Vis Mugen HT :)

ans2k 04-18-2010 12:06 PM

what was the code kevin?

Same as what you got i believe. I know i have a test pipe. I just dont no what one.

I thought it was odd that it came on after my clutch was replaced. I cleared the code but when i drive it comes back on.

Ch0pper 04-18-2010 12:46 PM

Sounds abnormal for a CEL having anything to do with the clutch.
Edit: Code needed

Some of the shirts are probably just down right offensive to some, I guess I've just got a sick sense of humor.

A friend of mine has a baby due in a couple months, and I'm dying to get her the "I just spent nine months in the hole" t from their baby hell line up. :)

mr flannery77 04-18-2010 03:50 PM

Oh, and as far as the CEL goes - Alan had mentioned on the other thread that it could have possibly come loose. Being that the second anti-fouler is considerably weaker after drilling out enough material to allow the sensor to fit, its quite possible that I didn't tighten it down quite enough (trying not to break it).

I'll have to check it out and see. If that's not the case, then who the hell knows? I give! I give! LOL!

ans2k 04-18-2010 04:34 PM

Yea it is possible that it could have came loose. Or you could be like the other 100's of MY06+ that have a sensitive sensor. As long as you know what the cel is it doesn't matter. The secondary O2 sensor does not affect anything, not gasmilage and not performance. But hey, you could always try to put more antifoulers. :)

But the strange thing is, mason, that yours came on about 900 miles after the install. A sensitive sensor should have lit a cel within 200 miles of driving.

ans2k 04-18-2010 07:35 PM

so random thought. i was wondering how would an "s" look instead of an "H" on the bumper and trunk? and does anyone have any spares?

mr flannery77 04-19-2010 07:31 AM

My personal opinion? I'm kinda partial to the plain ol' Honda "H". I know there are several guys in the group running the "S" badge though. If I'm not mistaken, the gentleman that runs the blue CR at the B.M.T. sports a couple of "S" badges.

Sillirabbit 04-19-2010 07:37 AM

So I ran a H2B Civic Hatchback this Saturday from a 40 roll. I beat it. He was half a car away. I heard H2B's are suppose to be running 12's. This one was pretty slow. He had custom headers, GSR tranny, intake, and VTEC engagement point drop to 5k. What do you guys think about those H2B hatches? 0.o? or :thumbdn:

The exhaust note that thing was prducing was really horrible. It screams rice. :blah:

I have the S badges as well. I like them. You can find them at www.ricks2k.com.
They have the custom S badges and also have wheel badges too.

ans2k 04-19-2010 08:12 AM

I was afraid that ricks badges won't be a good color match. Silver is a very hard color to match. So :(

Munnerlyn 04-19-2010 02:20 PM

Good news, Ricks is going to go through with the production of the USDM clear Diffusers. I should be receiving mine within the month hopefully. In the meantime Tom had some USDM Ambers laying around so I traded them off to a guy in Austrailia for authentic JDM Clear diffusers out of his personal headlights. :D

U can also use the S from the S2000 on the fender. For the trunk

;)

I'm about to take my badges off the AP2. You can have them if there salvageable.

Stainless steel wool. I have a whole roll as I used it to fill the weep holes in the house. Got it as stainless exactly so there is no rust issue.

One of my favorite restaurants in Arkansas! I learned how to drive out there in England, AR when I was a kid.

ScottsS2k 04-22-2010 11:26 PM

running badge-less is like going some where and no one knowing your name.... it can be amusing @ times. i dont have any on my car. i got pulled over for speeding (not again munny that day omw to forza) and the cop asked me if the car was an 02 s2000, ive gotten other comments on it from being a porsche to a corvette.. ppl are dumb and sometimes they need a label under the picture to make life easier for them. i prefer social Darwinism the strong will survive. If your not in the know there is probably a reason so it does not matter. so just remember if you do de-badge the car expect questions.

Munnerlyn 04-23-2010 01:32 AM

I just debaged. I got those "S" Badges for you ans2K! In other news, I drank 6 frozen margaritas last night at OTB and decided I could cut my own hair. Came out with a straight 2 haha What you doing today Scott?

Ch0pper 04-23-2010 07:59 AM

LOL. Mine still has has the S2000 badges on the sides but replaced the H's with Ricks S badges. People still ask me what kind of car it is.... I tell them it's a Kia :o

mr flannery77 04-23-2010 08:37 AM

Nothing says exotic like Kia!

ans2k 04-23-2010 10:49 AM

i disagree. i like the name geo metro. now that says boss! GEO METRO!

mr flannery77 04-23-2010 03:19 PM

Don't forget the beloved chevy aveo. That'll get u laid!

Munnerlyn 04-24-2010 06:34 PM

I just got these JDM diffusers in from Australia! There going on Scott's car tomorrow since I've got my USDM clears in production right now! He got a sweet deal on them!

ScottsS2k 04-25-2010 02:20 AM

Nothing pulls pussy like a ford pinto.... Or a solid white gmc pannel van with "free puppies and candy inside" painted on the out side... Gotta love the dd when I'm not rockin the s2k.... Lol j/k (flame suit within arms reach)

Munnerlyn 04-25-2010 06:09 PM

Just picked up a set of Craft Square Mirrors off the classifieds! :dance2:

ans2k 04-25-2010 09:04 PM

damn lol i was looking at those!! :)

Munnerlyn 04-25-2010 09:33 PM

lol...sorry buddy. That guy is one bad ass shipper! He lives in Hong Kong. I bought them and within 2hrs I had a tracking number. 7-10 day mail from Hong Kong, not bad!

ans2k 04-25-2010 10:08 PM

lol its cool dude. no sweat. enjoy my friend. they do look bad ass. and that shipping from hong kong sounds like a good deal.

icemans2k02 04-26-2010 03:54 AM

Munn just make sure you install them correctly :) In a hurry for a show I installed mine backwards lol

Munnerlyn 04-26-2010 06:47 AM

lol... Thats funny Bobby! They seem to be assembled. I'm guessing yours came with Allen head bolts to mount the mirrors on the doors? I asked him if these were included but his answer was unclear since I think hes native Chinese.

Munnerlyn 05-01-2010 10:11 AM

It's beautiful outside today! Time to wash some cars!

mr flannery77 05-01-2010 02:44 PM

We need to have some sort of huge S2K party. I'm thinking like BMT magnitude. Well organized, and at a central location that will make it easy for everyone to attend.

Obviously, the drive is the heart of the BMT, but we need to have an event that is centered around nothing more than a bunch of Honda lovers hangin out, and enjoying the company of others with similar taste. JMPO. :)

Munnerlyn 05-01-2010 04:40 PM

We could do a swim party at the house here! As far as the Ark-La-Tex, Texarkana is a pretty centralized location. Not my pick, but its definitely in the center! :D

ans2k 05-01-2010 05:45 PM

LOL sounds pretty fun to me! good way to relax!

mr flannery77 05-01-2010 06:38 PM

Texarkana is like an afternoon stroll for me. I think that's a grand idea!

Munnerlyn 05-01-2010 07:02 PM

Sounds like a plan then! I'm open pretty much anytime this summer. Just let me know whenever anyone wants to do it! I'm down for whatever!

mr flannery77 05-01-2010 07:32 PM

Lets do it tonight while the twisters r rolling through. It would b like a giant whirlpool!

Munnerlyn 05-01-2010 07:54 PM

lol... It would be like magic springs except for free!
