Default Sideskirts

Hey guys, so the other weekend my passenger side strake had an unfortunate run in with a cone at autocross. Ripped it off and then proceeded to get run over by my rear tire, sidenote it was a pretty nice save on my part :-) haha, there is a video of the run on facebook for those of you that are friends with me on there. Anyways now there is a hole on that side where the first owner drilled to attach the side strake so I started thinking about other options, normally I do not get little body pieces that don't help the car in some way but that hole is kinda annoying. What good side skirts are out there that might help me out here? There are a set of Wald sideskirts that have been for sale forever that I was considering but I was curious what else is out there. I have an AP1 lip and stock rear bumper, I don't want something thats very loud or sticks out. Something small and subtle, cheap would be nice too haha. Any and all inputs welcome! Thanks

Those OEM side strakes have also been referred to as "cone catchers" in the autocross world. Sorry, that was no help... just wanted to share that lol

I would just go back to the OEM ones. If you get side skirts with factory bumpers it will offset the look of the car. Unless of course you get a lip or something to help lower the rest of the body parts.

Haha yea Julie that was not the first cone I had caught with it, granted I was not very straight so the cone was gonna die regardless one of the other times a cone got it it ripped it off but the only damage was some scratches which I sanded out and repainted myself. Iceman I would stick with the OEM ones but I hate how they attach, I have been struggling with keeping them attached the entire time I have owned the car.

Plus those OEM side strakes are not very cheap. $350 has been the best price that I have seen over at Handa.com. You can get the OEM front lip for about $350, and the OEM rear trunk lip thing for $400.... so $350 for those little tiny side strakes just seems a bit overpriced.... and I am pretty sure you would need to get a whole new set. I dont know of anyplace that sells just a single side.
