I had never heard of the official term "donk" til I was in Mississippi. I had seen these ridiculous lifted cars with wheels more expensive than the car before but it wasn't til I was hanging out with a girl from Louisiana that I laughed at one and she was like "What are you laughing at...oh that donk" which made me stop laughing for 2 seconds and then I laughed harder haha

It is very much a trend here with "Donks". We have the m&m, skittles, slurpy, tons of different varieties. Lot of guys we have here are trying to get noticed that's why they have the "move it like berny" and "do the scooby doo" all coming from good ole shreveport lol

We've got to be setting some sort of "off-topic" record here!

This is a long shot, but I'm guessing when they say scoobie doo, they're referring to the fact that scoob's legs would spin furiously without him moving at all?

The first time I ever saw a Donk vehicle was when i went to college up in Flint, MI. So, like 2003. I remember the first time i saw one drive past I couldnt stop laughing for a good few minutes. I think doing that to your car is gonna be like MC Hammer and his pants. These gangstas are gonna look back 10 years later thinking "wow, I didn't look cool.... i just looked.... stupid" lol. Up in Flint we had a lemon lime one that was hilarious. It had a lime green paint job with lemon yellow stripes and straight lemon yellow wheels.

Something that I saw up around Akron/Cleveland that was sorta funny was an old 80s Firebird that was lifted, and big giant meaty off road tires were on it.... I guess that is the redneck/whitetrash response to the bling bling gangstas and their donk

At my store we cater our magazine subscription to our local demographics. We have no Modified, Import Tuner, or Super Street magazines but we do have Donk the magazine!!! It's full of the exact cars you're talking about. Apparently this is an established style big enough to have their own publication... LMAO....
