Tech Day
heck, i've heard of valves being out of spec as early as 10k. that being said -- mine were pretty close to spec at around 40k.
going to try and set aside time to attend... not sure what i'd plan on doing, as aside from painting calipers, i'm pretty up to where i want to be. (and i doubt painting calipers can be done on an 'away' trip, since they need time to dry before driving...)
i guess i could do some stereo install stuff for people... *winces*

i've got a pair of jackstands as well. should you bring at least a pair for yourself if you need to paint it, or would you need four per car? also, is anyone grinding down the casting marks on their calipers while they're at it? i want to do this also, but i know it's almost impossible to do this due to time - just wanted to do this right the first time around. i'm thinking about grinding each one down on my free time until the tech day comes around, but it'll rust in the meantime like hell. that way, all i have to do is sand them down again once we're ready. but then again, i just might wait and see how it's done first. btw, should we get with decalgirl to hook us up with some decals before the meet?
only if the decals will add HP
I ground most of my calipers when I painted them. It was not worth it. Used a dremel and it took quite some time. You can probably put the caliper paint (a viscous 2 part epoxy) on thick enough to smooth out the casting marks.
