Default valve adjustment

well i finally grew the balls and a did a valve adjustment on my car. I was very surprised to find that the exhaust valves were almost 2 ten thousandths of an inch off and the intake valves were a little bit more. but needless to say that after the adjustment, the car revs much smoother and feels a little more responsive

I think everyone with a few miles on there s2k should do this, if there are enough people interested maybe we could have a tech day or something.

I'll be doing a valve adjustment of sorts... I've got titanium springs, ti seats, ti retainers, and new valve seals waiting to be installed. I'm not going to do it until I go FI because I have to pull the head anyway to install the new 3mm HG.... And I'm sure as hell not pulling the head twice!

I'd be interested in replacing my retainers. I'd help out in the tech day doing brakes: I have Motive Power Bleeder now and can flush every drop of brake fluid in 15 minutes.

I could sure stand to change out my clutch fluid. And a valve lash adjustment never hurts. I have no idea when one was last done. So I'd be down for a meet. I can bring tools and a heavy duty floor jack.

The only drawback to a lash adjustment is the time it takes for cooldown. If there is heat left in the head the gap will be wrong. I let mine sit over night, but minimum is 4 hours.
