Default Water instead of Coolant

Is anyone running straight water instead of coolant in their S? Lots of my friends with Scoobaru's and such run straight water with Water Wetter and run almost 20 degrees cooler. Safe to run water and wetter in an S?

your coolant acts as a lube for your water pump. i don't recommend it plus that tuff ups your pressure substantially. We tried it back in the day on the teggy and blew up lots of oem radiators... but hey if you buy it from oreillys it has a warranty

you'd probably be ok in the summer, but i wouldnt try it in the winter. wouldnt want it all the freeze up if we got a cold snap.

You can use water just make sure its distilled. Faucet water carries the extra minerals and it will rust out the radiator. I run straight distilled water mixed with "weter water" you get it at autozone. I swear by this stuff. Water cools better then radiator fluid and the weter water lubricates your cooling system

Jimmy makes a valid point here. I dont DD my car and it stays in the garage the coldest it has gotten in there is low 60's as its insulated. You are taking a chance on that

You probably have a bubble in it. It shouldn't run hotter.
