Mainly going to be in tokyo, but will be taken a day trips to Kyoto and Osaka. I'll have a full free day to check out tokyo. I've been given some tips on what to see/do. I wanted to see if there were any other tips from s2ki.
It's been booked. I work for www.curiouslabs.com who is owned by www.e-frontier.co.jp, so they've already booked the tickets as the trip is mainly for business but I get a few days to play too.
I'll shoot you a PM when I'm there and let you know how my schedule looks.
If you want to remember old school mcdonalds, have the mcnuggets!! They are still dark meat over there! lol
Oh and the apple pies are still deep fried. Damn, our mcdonalds went down the drain over here!!
Have fun, i might be going over there in may, this time to Kyoto.
quick question, that is if you don't mind me asking. i've been wanting to visit, but tickets were normally at 12000 and above, how much did you get your tickets for?
Last time i went, i went to Hong Kong and Tokyo. So my combined ticket was $1400. American airlines sends me offers for like $550 to go to Tokyo. Just check each website.
However usually i fly using my 10% retail ticket price as a relative works for a major airline co. If ticket is $1000, i only pay $100.
I went there 3 years ago and did what you did... travelled to Kyoto from Tokyo. From Kyoto, take the bus and head up (north?). You will travel through the city and see an interesting mix of old and new Japan. Pretty cool stuff
Osaka is a lot of fun.. basically anywhere in Osaka was fun..I think the area I went to was called Namba. Lots of good food and things to see.
Here are a few pics that I took from back then. If you need specifics, let me know.. I might know some people that may be able to steer you in the right direction
