well to import a auto overseas, yes it costs alot more to just have the car itself with u but also u might have to pay monthly to keep it in the counrty so,, i duno if i were u i rather buy a s2000 from ur own country, cuz there is no point of importing an s2000 , if u want a skyline, now thats a different story

I would say just buy it in UK ... unless you have very reliable sources to help you find one from Japan or something

Buying one in the states would be better. But it can get imported if interested. There is an Australian guy here that does it but omg is he expensive.

with Ks320.

Unless your desperate to get hold of a Grand Prix white car, then stick with a UK car imo. Of the imports I know on the UK forum, I can think of 3 out of 4 have required new engines at some point. Now I'm not saying they are weaker engines in the Japanese cars (as that would be silly) but somethings not right.

There is of course the wait to consider, and finding someone trustworthy to buy the car and ship it back to the UK for you. It's a minefield I would personnally avoid

hi got to throw my $0.02 in on this, due to the fact that I have imported vehicles from Japan to the States, and visa versa. The problems that you are going to run into are the customs laws, and if you are shipping into Japan registering it in the country is a PITA. But so worth the head turning that you will receive when driving it ( that is if you import from the states)

-> I've heard that importing a car in Englishland is expensive, unless you're in desire to have a very special S2K's that are not available in UK like the AP1/AP2 Type-V, the AP2 2.2 (F22C), and the AP2 Type-S. Ask those guys who regularly imports the menacing FD Civic Type-R sedan.

-> Importing ones from the US is not practical given that is LHD, unless you live in mainland Europe.

yo, I'm moving to Japan in a few months, and the info on taking my S there has been slim to none. Do you know of any sites that offer information on the process/fees etc.. FWIW I am going to Misawa, in Aomori Province.
