Honda Collection Hall
My wife and I are huge Honda F1 fans and we're planning on going to Japan for the F1 GP @ Suzuka in October and of course while I'm there I would love to see some of the sights with regards to Honda and motorsports.
I've heard that the Honda Collection Hall is a better museum than either the Ferrari or Porsche exhibits in their respective countries and I'm dying to look at Honda's collection of F1 cars. I've also heard that it is really out of the way, but worth the trip. Anyone here been there? How was it? Any pictures to share?
Also, are there any other motorsports/car related events in Japan worth checking out? I'm sure the F1 race will be the focal point while I'm there, but any tips on what to see would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Hi the Honda collection is housed in Tochigi prefecture, north of Tokyo at the Twin Ring Motegi circuit.
I have visited a number time, either for track days or for races.
It is very very far from Suzuka, if you want to go there you need to get a bullet train up to Tokyo and then change in Tokyo and take the train up to Utsonomiya, from there you can take a bus to the Motegi circuit.
Its well worth going, they have basically every F1 race machine that they ever built, all the racing bikes and of course road cars. You also have the science area with lots of information about how they build cars, there's a movie about the NSX that they show aswell as demo's from the robot Azimo that they have which is really cool.
Other things to do at Motegi include laps around the circuit in an NSX or around the oval in a Nascar racer, there are also some pretty good go kart tracks.
Hope this helps, enjoy the F1.

If you are in Tokyo check out the Honda head office at Aoyama which is close to Shibuya, they have pretty good displays there of all products and lots of goodies to buy also.
Drop me a PM if you are in Tokyo, if I have time can meet up in my VGS S2000.

Kye,
If you're still around the board, check your PM!
Obviously, I didn't make it to the 2004 Suzuka F1 GP (We had to "settle" for Montreal this past season at the Canadian GP), but I'll be in Japan around mid-June for certain and I have some questions for you!
