Default Meet?

so what's the possibility of a driving meet somewhere in Japan,

I don't know how many owners there are here who read this site - and how far people are prepared to drive given the road tolls...

but before the weather gets too cold.

any ideas???

I know of one or two owners here in Kobe area.

I would be up for it if I can fit it in with my schedule, pretty busy for the whole of October, but should be able to do something if we are looking at November .... or would that be too cold by then?

I guess somewhere in the Shizuoka/Nagoya area could be good, in between Kobe and Tokyo.

Does anyone know that area and have any suggestions?

Hi Kobe!
Nice idea. I would be interested in a meet (pending my schedule). Probably more willing to go halfway.

James:
How are you? You mentioned acquiring a house in Gunma? Anywhere near Maebashi?

I will be in the neighbourhood during the next long weekend 12-14th Oct.

AT -

I think we are quite a way north of Maebashi, we are in a place called Minakami, quite close to Gala Yuzawa ... the ski resort.

We will be back in the UK for the long weekend, a friend is getting married .

I probably won't be back there until the weekend of the 9th Nov, due to work commitments and trips

I haven't been there yet. Love to go in the future I understand it is one of the best places in the world for snow. Wonder if anyone can dispute that?

We only took on the house this year, so haven't experienced its winter joys yet ...... I have heard that Gala Yuzawa can be pretty busy, since it is so close to Tokyo and easily accessible by train.

Keep me posted on anything half way from Tokyo. Maybe up near Matsumoto before the snow sets in?

Haven't had any serious aquaplaning but did spin it (by accident) on a main road in the centre of Tokyo! It's quite easy if you're not careful with your right foot. Scared me to death but looking back on it was quite funny sitting outside a Koban looking at the guy looking at me pointing the wrong way on a 4 lane road with the oncoming guys held at a red!
