Default Next Get Together

Hi All,
Next planned trip is for October 2nd, am thinking of including some fun at the go-kart track close to gotemba also. Any one interested ? If so reply!

Last weekend was really great fun, although I ended up taking my NSX instead of the S2000. Hakone was realy beautiful, sunny and clear with not much traffic on the road at all, lets hope for the same next time.

Cheers
Kye

Wish I was there.
Any chance of photos?

Sorry again , but I'll be out of the country on business.
Pity.

I am still waiting. I was i touch with the dealer today, and he claims that by the end of Sept. he is "hoping" for the delivery! can you believe it takes 10 weeks to deliver a car. I was complaining to him that the 2005 model already got announced in the US. I am going to have a year old car, before it even hits the road!! ah, really frustrated, but i suppose it will be just that much sweeter once she arrives.

btw, how far is Gotemba from Tokyo? I hope I can get enough miles (or kilometers) on the car before that weekend. i would love to join!

Hi, I'm an ex-UK owner now living in Tokyo. Would be good to meet up with some fellow enthusiasts (although I no longer have a car). Any spare passenger seats going?

Gotemba is 1-1.5 hours drive if traffic is free-flowing. You get there via the Tomei expressway. Saying that, once it took 3 hours to get back from the Gotemba Outlet.

sounds like a great drive! Looking forward to it.

The dealer also says that with this next week's holidays, that additional delays can be expected. He claims that the factory relocation to Suzuka(?) is the cause of major production delays.

All NSX and S2000 production was moved from Tochigi to Suzuka some time recently, this is why you are suffering!! I think you should push these guys heavily, even threaten cancelling the order unless you car turns up soon!

Cheers Kye for organising the meet and inviting me along

Absolutely superb day for it - Hakone and Ashinoko are truly beautiful, and the roads round there fantastic. The NSX is awesome too I'm a true convert!

John, and Ayako - Great to meet you. Ayako - thanks for letting me have a blast in your S2000. I'd almost forgotten what a 'grin inducing' drive it is!!

Roll on the next meet!

Eric
