Default Speed Limiter

Has anyone had the speed limiter removed from their car?

I am toying with the idea but really can't decide whether to go for it or not ...

I don't often get even close to the limiter, but a couple of times have wished that it wasn't there

Hello Tokyo-James i have the same problem too, because here we use right-hand drive cars and so many cars arrive with Japanese specs. You can remove the speed limiter by using the APEXi rev/speed meter or any other brand rev/speed meter. The only problem you will face is your control panel(of your car)will stop to the indication of 180km/h,(ifthis is not a problem for you)you can also change your control panel so you can have the right indications of the speed that you are driving.I found a control panel from the Backyard but i am still trying to find an other solution or from a used car or to modify my own control panel beacuse is esential for me to know the speed that I am driving.IFyou have any other solutions for this problem please inform me too.
Thank you

I don't know if someone can get this translated, or can get a Japanese speaker to contact them, but they certainly look like that sort of people we are looking for !!!!

the company is backyard special,

here is their link - I did not make it a hotlink - for some reason I can't access it from this network connection - it says denied access by access control list, however I have got to it before no problems.

Hideoki Takano is the Sales Manager for Backyard.,
