I would love to visit Japan. I don't have anything planned for anytime soon, but still nice to research and think about.

I know little to nothing about the country, hotspots, etc, you can search the intrawebz all day long. But you can't beat actual experience, and "local" knowledge.

So any tips? Dos or donts? Must see places? Best places to stay. You get the picture.

Lets it up, and ^ the PPD

I'd like to know some more about people's experiences in Japan too.

It's on my list of 'must go' places

it really depends how long you stay and what type of activities you want to do. If you're going to travel all over Japan, then it will get expensive...

If you want to get some ladies, then you need to bring the cash

But one thing I would get once you get to Japan is a JR (japan railway) pass. If you get that, you're pretty much set to go anywhere
