At first I thought it was an earth worm but it was too large and thick for that. Turns out to be a young snake. I don't know much about snakes but I reckon it may be a redbellied black snake going by the pics here http://www.usyd.edu.au/anaes/venom/s...e.html#SNAKEID


You can't see the head because it is stuck in a bunch of grass/lint that I have no interest in removing (yet)






Anyone care to comment?

Either way, not a good pet.

 

The WIRES person reckons is a blind snake. Harmless. They are going to pick it up sometime soon.

 

It's not blind. Just got something over it's eyes.
