With the new firmware it allows you too install other operating systems once you have partitioned the hd, also for future note when upgrading the hard drive for more room, SSD drives work with the ps3, once they become more affordable, 120gig SSD is $500 atm.

I just tried GT5 prolouge and it worked thats a blu-ray cd..
