Flooding in Brisbane
If you haven’t already seen it, temporary flood maps of suburbs in Central Brisbane (those in the Brisbane City Council LGA) below. The BCC site is currently down. I’m not sure if any of the other Brisbane Councils and Shires have released any of the suburbs in their jurisdiction.
http://lexiphanic.com/floodmaps/ I hope no-one is affected too greatly. It's looking grim. I know West End is already flooding. There is a king tide coming today and it's expected that several central suburbs will be flooded by tomorrow. http://images.brisbanetimes.com.au/2...13-600x400.jpg Some current photos: Brisbane flooding |
keep yourselves and those S2's safe

Well, where you see that yellow sign, there is actually a board walk below there. The level of the river in the photo is probably a good 4-5 metres above where it usually is. |
wow... now I have to drive my car home from the City.... organised choas here at work with redundancy planning and everyone heading home to try and save their homes.
I'm gonna head home soonish and grab my skimboard to hit the local football fields :) woot. |
^Avoid the storey bridge, its clogged.
I can confirm that walkway is now all the way under water. |

^ Holy crap. I just got home via train, and boy was it good timing. It was the last train to my station - it actually terminated there due to flooding a little further down. Most of Milton and Auchenflower is flooding...
