Thumbs down Flooding in Brisbane

If you haven’t already seen it, temporary flood maps of suburbs in Central Brisbane (those in the Brisbane City Council LGA) below. The BCC site is currently down. I’m not sure if any of the other Brisbane Councils and Shires have released any of the suburbs in their jurisdiction.

I hope no-one is affected too greatly. It's looking grim. I know West End is already flooding. There is a king tide coming today and it's expected that several central suburbs will be flooded by tomorrow.

Thanks Tak.

Well, where you see that yellow sign, there is actually a board walk below there. The level of the river in the photo is probably a good 4-5 metres above where it usually is.

^ Holy crap. I just got home via train, and boy was it good timing. It was the last train to my station - it actually terminated there due to flooding a little further down. Most of Milton and Auchenflower is flooding...
