I was sent this today and after the padded room discussion thought it was a coincidence worth sharing. No commercial interest here just passing on what looks like a good tool for you guys.

The Car Cube doesn't allow detergents to be used. But it does run off 12 volt car accessories.
A Karcher (even the base models) can draw detergents, and operate drawing water from just a bucket (no hose required). However the Karchers I have seen do not run on 12 volt accessories, and require to be plugged into a household powerpoint. A base model Karcher may actually be a little cheaper than the Car Cube.
Both have that special water saving accreditation thing.

Well done, matt. I hadn't looked at these before but what you've said makes sense.
By doesn't allow detergents, is that implying it can't or just that it'll void the warranty?

For portability I think the Car Cube is good.
Also consider something like a foam cannon - not sure if the Car Cube is designed to allow attachments. http://www.everypressurewasher.com/asp/sho...asp?sku=CAM1243

Found this on the Meguires website:

Found this on the Meguires website:
There are severe water restrictions in parts of Australia, particularly in Sydney and regional NSW, which prohibit connecting a high pressure cleaner directly to a mains tap and insist on using a bucket or watering can for washing your car.
....
Note: Not all high pressure cleaners are suitable to run off a bucket. We have successfully tested a range of Karcher machines as well as the Lavor EKO machine from Repco and the Superworks machine from Super Cheap Auto. The manufacturers of GMC, Gerni, and Kerrick machines have advised that they are not designed to operate from a bucket. With any other machines please check with the manufacturer first.
