New Falcon Launched
So today is the day Ford launched its new Falcon.
It appears in some areas they have made some good visual changes, whilst in others they have tried not to deviate to much (XR8).
I'm pretty disappointed (as a longtime Ford man) that they have dropped long standing names such as the Fairmont and Fairmont Ghia.
Overall until there are some actual real sightings and tests, I think its not model that could "save" the Falcon.
So what does everyone else think!?

The black "mask" sort of thing is a bit tacky.
Here's also a link to an article (with more photos) from drive.com.au on the new 2008 Ford Falcon.
Appearance-wise, it's more of the same to me. Apparently, most of the good stuff is under the skin.
TBH, I can't say taxis have ever turned me on.
Looking at Wilchs first, third and fourth pictures, these really are too similar to the current Falcon. I'd think most people were expecting something drastically different. These aren't.
The FPV's might have some wow factor.
Where is the GT-HO? I've waited too long.

I think the black eyeshadow does toughen it up a bit. Looks like they stole some of the ideas from the GTR concept front.
From side on however there looks like a big tumor growing from the front bonnet.
