The stone I mentioned is GST free due to it being bought overseas. But anyway, I've declined on the offer.

I'm afraid the missus is after a single massive rock, the type where you would need a mountain rope to hang it around your neck.

So are you suggesting I should sell the car to gather up some funds? The thought has crossed my mind... Drug trafficking, extortion and selling one of my kidneys on ebay were also considered. Selling the S2000 is somewhere further down the list.

Sorry to dig this up again but it was never resolved due to extenuating circumstance at the time. I may be on the market for one again soon though, so just a quick question if anyone can help... Has anyone purchased a ring at Tiffany's before? I know it's not the cheapest option but I also know she would love a Tiffany ring, at the expense of a couple of downgrades in the 4Cs. What would $10k seriously get me at Tiffs? I don't want to set up an appointment, walk in there, hear the price and say "I'll just take the keychain thanks".

I loves ya Vuey, but there is no way in hell I'd buy a rock from one of your hookups.

I can't believe this thread has been ressurected. I started reading it and composing my reply, then came across my year and a half old post. Not much has changed my opinion except the significant other is no longer hounding me for a compressed lump of coal.

www.tiffany.com has all the prices, easiest way is to probably select United States and browse through the rings, the prices are all in USD so dont get too excited =P

I remember one time after a science class a mate of mine made a really bad call to some other guy for not lending him some money, it went something like "your ass is so tight that if you ate carbon you'd shit out a diamond"...doesn't get any lamer then that.

i've purchased two rings from there before, paid in the vicinity of 2-300 for them but of course they didn't have any diamonds i know how u feel though, that helen...haha asian women man...way too materialistic =P

Just because she doesn't hound you anymore doesn't mean she's not building up resentment of geological proportions and one day stab you in the thigh with a rusty carving knife.
