What's in the intake arm? Does it have a cooling element?

 

nah it's just a box

Yep, notice the cut out for the Spoon intake. That's what I'll do to mine.

What is the purpose of the box if there's nothing in it? A curved pipe is a better design if that is the case. Preferably in an insulative material like plastic. You know, like the one it comes with.

I think the box in the intake arm is suppose to improve throttle response and low rpm torque. The effect was obvious in my EG. Some guys in sydney tested the torque chamber in an EG on dyno and I heard that the effect was 'dramatic'.

The airbox in the EG was around $400 AUD. I suspect the one for S2K would be more
