Has anyone had the Clutch replacement done for free outside warranty period?
I am currently battling with Honda Australia to get the Clutch Replacement paid for, they have agreed to cover the parts cost, but not the labour.
If I can find someone who has set a precedent, then that would be great ammunition.
I am 6 mths outside the warranty period, however only have 40,000km

Are you able to contact the previous owner and ask if the problem was mentioned to Honda during the warranty period?
Mine was fixed outside of warranty but only because at 59980 or so I took it in and had them make note of it.

When you're outside the warranty period you should be grateful for any concessions that you might get.
I think you've done well to get this far and I suggest you graciously accept their offer of parts and stop arguing about the labour costs.
If you try too hard to get everything you may lose their goodwill and get nothing.

Have you had the car since new? If not and no complaints where made with a dealership within the warranty period you are very lucky that Honda are offering anything at all.
I'd jump on the offer as the labour cost is considerably less than you'd pay for a new clutch and installation anywhere else (not to mention the peace of mind of getting an authorised dealer to do/warrant the work).
