Could be anything. CD stacker, connection from CD stacker to head unit, amplifier in head unit or wiring to speaker (least likely). The only way you'll get to the bottom of it is to take it back to the dealer. The "some sound" is most likely crosstalk which makes it appear that the power amp stage is OK, so check your CD stacker and wiring to the head unit. But as I say, take it to the dealer.

Sanity check : balance control

Maybe one side of your CD is dirty .

Seriously though:
First, check the lead that plugs into the changer. From memory it's towards the rear of the car (or left of the changer). Might be loose.

Could also be the other end that plugs into the head unit but if you're under warranty that's Honda's problem.

Surely it's time for an aftermarket stereo .

I had exactly the same problem on my black.

The right speaker didn't work on the CD but did on radio.

It was an intermittent problem.

Before I had a chance to to the dealer and have it fixed I wrote the car off and got a new silver one with a fully functioning stereo.
