The X5 is made in the US, too, isn't it? (Though I'm assured it's made to exacting German standards )

Iggy, you're a mess of contradictions. Are you planning to use it to tow a trailer to the track or have you been seduced by the white shoe brigade?

Explain yourself

Hehe, well I certainly had a nice laugh with all your replies... and for no i was NOT considering getting a TT... I drove one to see what they were like to ENSURE that I never get one!!!!

I "was gonna" get a Boxster S ... which I could have if not for a bad biz decision. I "was gonna" get an S2000, until they started blowing engines, diffs, and all sorts of stuff and not getting covered by warranty. That's all really!!!

I am planning on doing some 4x4 driving here in QLD, but just to see what it's like.... not really into that.

I needed a work-horse, and I will be working quite a bit on development sites around south-qld (ie property dev) and hence I needed something rugged. Also the guy I am involved with in a biz has bought 6 Jeeps from there so I got one hell of a discount. It's with full leather, cruise, trip computers, blah blah blah. Got it with all the options, etc for half the price of an X5, which I love very much, but just cannot afford in my current situation.

With the Evo, I am still v keen on getting one in NZ, which will set me back 30k... so let's see for the 100k that I would've paid for an X5 or a Boxster S, I have 50k for Jeep, 30k for Evo 6.5, that leaves me 20k. Hmmm ... lets have a look at www.forumulaford.com/marketplace

I will see how my time goes, but I think I'd rather get a Jetski to tow than a FF at the moment... running 2 businesses doesn't leave you much free time...
