ok, the assessor has finally declared it a total loss today, i have pics up on the net, cant remember how to post on the forums, maybe someone can do it (too lazy) here is the site

Man, that was worst than I imagined. Lucky you're alright, that is one hella total loss I have not seen for quite awhile now

I got good insurance through a broker (AAIB) for less than 40% of what the big companies were asking. The catch is that I have a 10,000km limit per annum, no problem for me as it's a second car - but then you still have your WRX too right? The insurance company is CGU and you can try to go to them direct, but I think it's a special brokers only policy. The broker said they are very good with claims, though it's a fair market value policy.

in terms of insurance, my biggest fear is that my premiums are gonna skyrocket. i will phone around for quotes but i have a feeling its gonna be nasty, i expect around $2500 at least cause of the claim.
i was paying only $1500 though before the accident. in terms of my wrx, i am trying to sell it so the 10000km limit is no good as it is a company car and i use it as a daily driver. i usually do about 20000km give or take a year
