well the assessor finally confirmed that my black s2k is a total loss, now i have to talk with the claims dept and see what the go is with replacement. i have pics finally, they can be assessed on this site
http://www.geocities.com/rev29k/s2000.html...ml?990523375200

i'm too lazy to put them on, maybe someone can do it for me.
my greatest fear now is that my insurance premium is going to skyrocket. what a drag.
anyone here made a claim that was their fault and what was the effect on ur premiums?

Ouch ... looks pretty nasty ... in particular from the front view. Anyway, to my knowledge, it makes no difference 'how much' your claim is for. Claims are clasified into 'your fault' and 'someone else fault'. When it's your fault then you pay the excess and drop 2 ratings in most insurance companies. Some might let you drop only 1 rating and if you have 'rating 1 protection' then you get to stay on rating 1. Not sure how much the insurance will be when you drop 2 ratings ... were you (or more like it, are you still) on rating 1?

ps. Any idea what car you're gonna go with?

Sorry to be off topic but it is interesting to see the distortion in your pics - why is everything stretched so wide?

Damn! Good to see the driver's cockpit area all in tact - that's the most important area. Hopefully the insurance issue will work out ok.

Tears come to my eyes when I see one of our wonderful cars smashed up like that. At least you were ok.
