However, to get back on topic (was I ever off?). As I understand it the x-brace (or cross brace as it is more correctly pronounced) firms up the front suspension of your chosen vehicle reducing body roll and ensuring a better tyre contact patch in racing style (i.e. on track)

Naishou, you are 100% correct. I wasn't thinking when I wrote that post (more interested in having a good natured jibe at Bernie
).
I still stand by my statement though regarding ensuring we know what we are doing when bolting on the hot goodies. I have expressed my opinion on a number of occasions that there are too many people out there making vehicle mods that actually reduce the total ride/handling package when considering the manner in which they actually drive.
I saw a very nice loking Toyota Supra TT over Easter that had the full range of peformance / handling / body kit goodies applied to it. Probably would have been brilliant on a race track (assuming the mods had been done properly and in harmony with each other - which is highly unlikely).
On closer inspection it was clear that the driver never used the vehicle except for late night crawling up and down Chapel St (heart of Melb nightlife). Without going into detail on what he had done and why I felt this way I am sure that under these driving conditions this vehicle would have performed far better had it been left stock.

I would appreciated being addressed as Turkeymeister, if you don't mind Bernie
Regarding the x-brace you obviously need to be looking at the Greg Norman signature edition which is guaranteed to take 2 strokes off your handicap
. It does this by making the structure of your golf bag more rigid thus ensuring no damage to clubs when throwing it in the boot of your S2000.

It increases understeer and reduces oversteer.
I believe it can be a lethal addition on the road as it does not allow the suspension to work properly and can actually cause the vehicle to become dangerous on anything less than a billiard table smooth surface.
However that doesn't seem to stop any of the yankee wankers and those who want ignorant boasting rights at the local petrol head gathering from putting one on.
Thanks Turkeymeister
I don't think I will race out looking for one then.
By the way, I am unsure if torsional rigidity helps much with a golf bag
Mind you, if I can take two strokes off my handicap, I'll try anything!!

When I took my S2K in for it's 10,000km service the guy was telling me about all the good things they did to it, one of the items was "tighten the chasis".
I'm sorry that I didn't ask him to explain this at the time - but, does this mean that the chasis stiffness is adjustable in our cars ?
Anybody heard of this before ?
