Thanks for the Audi stream link. Saw McNish trash the #3 R18 that was pretty intense.

Agreed. way to keep your nose clean with the #2 car. It's good to see the Germans back on top and to have the fastest car on top of being reliable.

Corvette winning both GTE Pro and GTE Am was cool to see as well.

I'm still not sure about the GTE Am... I think amateur racing is great but now sure about its place at Le Mans.

Fantastic weekend of racing. Loved the race action in the 24 hours and I must say that for the first time I watched the entire TV boradcast from Speed. Well worth doing nothing over the weekend except watch TV between this and F1

Amazing race!!!
Audi crashes just beyond believable, wow
How no spectator, corner worker, photographer got hurt fro the McNish crash is just a miracle
Was sad to see the 459 Italias did not do better, but it is a new car with little development
Darrell Waltrip driving a Ferrari at LeMans, somehow that just seems wrong
Peugeot has got to really be feeling down, even after Audi lost 2 cars, they were still able to bring the victory home over Peugeot
I'm thrilled for Chevy, well done, what a year for them to take another win
And my hat is off to Flying Lizards, impressive showing at LeMans ffor sure, and awesome looking designs

Why are the Audi and Peugeots so quiet? Don't tell me it's because they are diesels, I know that, but a diesel engine is still an internal combustion engine. Why is it then that the are so very quiet???

Turbos have a magic way of making cars quieter. It is amazing how quiet they are though. I was at an ALMS race, and they were certainly the quietest cars there. I would say that they are about as loud as a semi-truck at WOT. all you really hear is the induction and turbo noise. They must also have either a recirculating BOV, or a BOV that venst into the exhaust, cause I don't remember hearing any BOV noise.

The reason that they seem so quiet is that everything else on the track is well over 100db...

Actually that was Michael Waltrip not Darrell, but from what I saw the car didn't last long anyway. There seemed to be a lot more crashes this year than previously. I'm hoping that the governing body will see the error in their ways and give LMP1 back some power. I think both of those Audi wrecks could have been avoidable had they had more power by the fact they would have been past them at totally different parts of the track vs where they did pass. Also, with the lack of power, they had to take more chances in passing cause of the 150hp less.

The loudest two cars at the ALMS event that I went to were the two slowest... The lambo, and the jag were crazy loud. I think that the coolest sounding car had to be the Muscle Milk car. It just screams.
