means nothing..
anyone who knows f1, knows these testing ploys..
being a full second over a ferrari and a full two seconds over the bmw is unheard of for a team who've been sitting on the sidelines..
teams have done this for many years during testing
they were probably running a low fuel to purposely have a lighter car.
It brings morale up for the staff and engineers and garners some momentary attention from the media. That is all.

^^^ I agree, and no one knows more about F1 than me.
But still, for Brawn GP to be leading a testing session regardless is stellar.
People are going to be shocked when they see how well Brawn GP and Sir Jense do this year.

I can only keep my fingers crossed and hope that what you say comes true. I really want BGP to succeed.

OR since
RB drew the blue prints for the new aero rules and since he is known as a geneous in F1 circles and is GREAT at his job, Maybe they just happened to build a FAST car. Remember other than a few install laps on Friday 3/6, this car has never been driven.

i'll agree that many of the teams are playing around with god knows what, and their times are not always a good indication of their best, but this is still a great accomplishment for the BGP team.
i hope you're right about them being a suprise. i'd love for them to do well.

No doubt that Ross Brawn knows what he is doing, but everyone knows that without full clarification on fuel loads or what a team is doing on a particular run, testing times are bunk.
We'll all know the real deal come Friday practice at Melbourne. It'd be great if BrawnGP can shake things up (or STR or Force India), but even Brawn himself said he's just hoping for a "respectable" showing.
