Yeah, the Bridgestones do get better during the race, the problem is that after the 30 laps they take to get into the groove, the leaders are 30s up the road.

My countryman "Lil'Kimi" did a ok drive, kept the car shiny side up and was fast enough when it mattered. NH & MW were the real heroes I think, they clawed their way into serious points.

Also it was very unfortunate for the 'Star Wars' team that DC got shunted from behind by a MS who just did not care about waved yellows. DC was fuelled for a one-stopper and kept up with the podium pace quite nicely.

Dude - if you have an axe to grind - fine, but come-on. You are assessing blame on a shunt at 5 mph in a blind turn (that hurt Schumie as well - I followed the race on live track, if MS had not pitted because of the wing and lost a lap, he may well have finished on the podium - he was basically lapping right up there with Kimi). If you failed to notice, MS was hounding DC before that and was right on him.

Also - to say Kimi only did ok. The guy laid down some brilliant laps after the safety car and ran a brilliant one stop strategy while still being faster than everyone else (MS set fast lap). On a heavier fuel load than Alonso, he immediately pulled away at the start of the race, and never relented. The car may be great, but the pilot has to take advantage of that - and he did to perfection.

vroom - no axes to grind here. How about you?

Fact = DC slowed down during yellow flags and could stop before hitting anything and he was just as unsighted as MS. It was a racing incident and no I do not think any penalties apply. But it for sure was not Schumi's greatest moment. Considering the race, MS was right there with DC, but MS was two-stopping and DC one-stopping.

BTW Who would you say was to blame for putting DC out of the race?

I did say Kimi did ok, I never said 'only' (where did you get that?). He is a pro and he performed like a pro. I have no need to go over the top with superlatives, maybe that is a thing with us Finns? Just for your information, I have been a fan of KR since he started in F1 and seen his every race (a few live).

Ok so MS decided he'd hit DC just for the heck of it so he could go a lap down. Dude, I like DC - the nicest guy on the grid IMHO, but that's a racing incident. I don't go about flaming drivers - so no axes anywhere. And the more unsighted driver is the one in very close trail not the guy with open track in front of him. DC was not up anyone

WTF are you on about? I already said that imo it was a racing incident.

Could you explain what my "flaming" was? MS actually DID run into the back of DC and there WERE yellow flags waved.

My point was that I felt sorry for DC as he could have had a very good result.

ooops - that you did

Too quick on the trigger there. I think the thing that got me was your statement that MS did not care about waved yellows - for all we know, he who was tight on DC
